This cake was done for a little girl's baptism. My friend requested purple..yes purple. I made this cake, and took pictures at night. In the morning, because the cake was sitting on my island which is close to my east facing kitchen window (fondant cakes, once covered, cannot be refrigerated because the icing will sweat), the icing had faded along one side of the cake! I had to scrape all the icing off the once side and replace a bunch of the flowers before we left (yes we were invited to the baptism)!! It proceeded to fade again once we got to my friend`s house. I have since learned how to prevent that, but now I have a love-hate relationship now with purple!!!
