Toy Giraffe

 

I was under a lot of pressure with this cake..all self imposed, mind you.  It was the very first cake that I made for a relative (my nephew's first birthday), and I did a multi-layed stand up figure!  Geesh.  There were 4 layers of cake, and many dowels.  I learned a lot about what to do and not to do when layering cake, how to pay more attention to the shape of the figure (which I am still learning how to do) and how to make it more realistic.  It was a very stressful experience, but I learned a lot, and people do seem to like him!
