Burlesque Cowgirl

 This cake was done for my sister-in-laws friend who is getting married.  She was having a shower/bachelorette party that was a 'Burlesque Cowgirl' theme.  I had a lot of fun, as I always wanted to make 'bust' cake, but never thought I would have an excuse to!  It was a bit challenging trying to figure out how to pair the burlesque with the cowgirl, but it turned out pretty good.  I am not completely satisfied with the finishing on this cake, but I know what I would do next time to make it more polished.  Stay tuned!

The lace was all done with buttercream icing, and the rope & cowboy hat were all done with gumpaste &/or fondant - all edible except for the feather boa!  What is a burlesque party without feathers I say!!!
